He pursued his calling through higher education, earning a Bachelor’s in Animal Science, a Master’s in Agricultural Economics, and a Doctorate in Administration of Higher Education. Gordon dedicated his professional life to being a wise steward of the land and a mentor to others as an Agriculture Extension Agent with Oklahoma State University, Texas A&M, the USDA, and the University of Illinois. Beyond his professional achievements, Gordon was a man of deep faith and a dedicated servant to his community. He was an active member of the Kiwanis Club, Rotary International, and the Lion’s Club, and served as a Deacon and Elder in his church. His life was a testament to the values of integrity, hard work, and service to others. This scholarship will be awarded to a student at Abilene Christian University who is following in Gordon’s footsteps by majoring in Agribusiness, Animal Science, or Environmental Science.
